Cannabis used to be something of a taboo topic in most of the world. However, in the past decade, more and more people have started giving their voices to legalize cannabis in their countries or regions. Indeed, Canada became the second country to legalize cannabis in a historic verdict last year. Most US states have legalized cannabis. This leads many to believe that it is only a matter of time before the rest of the world follows suit.If you live in a region where cannabis is legal, you may have he’s of cannabis seeds. Let’s take a look at them.

Formation of seeds:

The gender of cannabis plants is dioecious. This means that they can be either male or female. However, for the production of buds used in cannabis, only the female plant is required. However, for the formation of seeds to take place, the male cannabis plant will pollinate the female cannabis plant. After the pollination process, seeds are produced by the female plant.

Uses of seeds:

Once the seeds begin to mature, the female cannabis plant reached the end of its life. The seeds will then drop to the ground.  Now, there are two things that can happen. The first thing is that the seeds stay on the ground and naturally grow into more cannabis plants and continue the cycle. Alternatively, the seeds can be harvested and a variety of products such as seed oil can be obtained.

If you want to obtain the marijuana buds found in many stores, you’ll need a seedless female plant. To achieve this, the male cannabis plants are removed from the area right before the pollination process begins. This creates very high potency marijuana called sinsemilla which simply translates to seedless.

There you go, now you are educated on the formation of cannabis seeds.
